January Flying

A Note from your MEC President:

Normally, we would have sent a letter out by now regarding the bid timeline. However, to be honest, it has been hard to find the words to express how disheartening it is when it keeps getting delayed month after month. We were as blindsided by this information as you all were. While we understand the reasoning, it still stirs up frustration in all of us. We now agree that this is the best case for the Flight Attendants - rather than awarding incomplete lines or putting a larger number of people on reserve.

We have been talking to management about the process to handle bid delays going forward. Delaying the bids should be an agreement between the company and the union. This way, we can truly agree on what is best for the Flight Attendant group. We will continue to push and fight for your best interests.
